The role and functions of the commitee

The committee is elected at the annual general meeting of the society
Composition of the committee:

• 3 Office bearers
  • President
  • Past President
  • Captain
• At least 3 but not more than 6 additional members.
• The committee appoints the 3 office bearers before the annual general meeting.

Principal powers of the committee:

• Promote and stage golf tournaments
  
• Manage the membership of the society
  
• Arrange the society’s home course for the year
• Appoint sub-committees
• Nominate members to serve on the management committee (Mancom) of the Senior Golfers Union of South Africa (SGUSA).
  
• Administer the financial affairs of the society.
• Meetings are held monthly
